Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for all services managed by Atlas Infrastructure and directly accessed by end users. These systems fall into two general categories, internal?and external services. External services cover applications that are used by individuals or companies outside AFH and include websites, web applications, DNS services and email. Internal services cover applications primarily used by employees such as Freedom/ADP financial apps, ACS, Antivirus, SharePoint and others. The Systems Administrator reports to the Infrastructure Services Manager.
Duties
• Maintain Microsoft Active Directory and related services. • Install & maintain, optimize and troubleshoot all aspects of database servers & clusters. • Maintain, optimize and troubleshoot all aspects of the telecom system including the PBX, call recording, auto attendants, call centers, 800 and forwarded numbers. • Administer electronic mail (email) system. Includes all?components of Exchange, Spam filtering and quarantine. • Ensure all data is properly classified, stored and backed up on a regular basis. • Administer websites that are hosted/maintained by the?Infrastructure department. Includes hardware/support services only, not coding. • Support any other web or internet-connected services (FTP, DNS, etc) used by the organization. • Support financial applications, primarily Stone River apps. The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills: • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all systems. • Proactively suggest physical and logical changes that result in better overview, manageability and monitoring. • Follow proper change control procedures. • Ability to work under pressure and multitask. • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment. • Advanced interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Experience
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. • 1-2 years of relevant experience as netadmin, sysadmin or in other information technology related fields. • Demonstrated proficiency in basic server operations including domain/directory services, application servers, backup, etc. • High level understanding of system/server design and best practices. • Basic understanding of relationships between servers and support systems such as network connectivity and storage. • Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and associated technologies such as Active Directory. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external business partners. • Good written and oral communication skills.
